Heavy and wide, the 3×3 Steel Truss Base gives a vertical run of 12″ box truss a broad footing. The black steel plate measures 36″ x 36″ and weighs 135 lbs, covering more floor than the smaller 2×2 plate. A pipe adapter is available if you need to stand pipe instead of truss.
Use the 3×3 plate when you want a wider footing under truss towers, goalpost arches and entry gateways, such as a 10ft Aluminum Box Truss leg at a GWCC booth. The black finish disappears against show carpet. For lighter builds and tight footprints, the 2×2 Steel Truss Base takes the same 12″ truss.
Pick the 3×3 when you want a wider, heavier footing, such as under taller towers or arches. Your build drawings and venue rules should guide the final choice.
Yes. A pipe adapter is available, so the plate can stand pipe uprights as well as 12″ box truss.
It covers a 36″ by 36″ square, or 9 square feet, so mark that space at each truss leg on your floor plan.
